This Stillwater riverboat wedding was magical! An enchanting Minnesosta summer wedding on the river, AND a full moon! Jacquie and Jon are a gorgeous and awesome bride and groom, and they sure know something about planning a most dazzling wedding!
Wedding preparations took place in the honeymoon suite of the restored 1920’s Lowell Inn. What a fabulous idea since it provided the perfect surroundings and props for ‘getting ready’ photography. Of course jumping on the bed was a must!
As many times as I have visited the Lowell Inn, I have never had the opportunity to shoot there. The lobby was filled to the brim with great antiques and this wedding party took over and enjoyed every corner.
We all then boarded an antique trolley and hit some of the local hot spots of the very special river town of Stillwater.
People have asked how did we get the bridge shot since there is always such heavy traffic on a saturday afternoon. I highly recommend the trolley driver, who with just a bit of coaxing, came to a complete stop and blocked traffic for just enough time to pull the photo off.
A chartered riverboat, the Jubilee awaited all the guests, where a touching and emotional ceremony took place, with a violin serenade.
