Hello and welcome to my new wedding photography blogsite!

I have just combined my website with my blog creating a simple and fast way for you to see my past and most current work. I hope that by looking through my wedding slideshows, you will be convinced that you can hire an extremely experienced photographer, who is also willing to work with your budget considerations.
I am looking for clients that really love photography like I do. We share a very special appreciation for the sensitivity and inspiration of a good image , and also recognize the special gift of an artistic eye. We love all things natural and envision beauty in all our surroundings. We are joyful about all life's adventures and laugh at it's obstacles.
You are looking for someone who is an experienced photo artist, and someone that you will enjoy having by your side through your most important day. Some friends say that I look at the world through rose colored glasses, and I guess that I do, but it works for me and my clients. I think of myself as a storyteller.
I have been a career free-lance photographer for 3 decades, specializing in 'people' images as a photojournalist, advertising, fine art, and fashion shooter. I have run my own commercial studio in Minnesota for 30 years and enjoyed globe-trotting with my camera on a multitude of assignments.
I started adding weddings to my photography career several years ago, and now have done hundreds.

After shooting my first wedding I was hooked, and it has allowed me to live part time in the islands, which has always been my lifetime dream.
I try to bring a special blend of skills as a seasoned fashion photographer mixed with the storytelling savvy of a career as a photojournalist. Operating my own studio for all these years, I also know what it takes to make sure the highest level of professionalism is maintained, and that my clients always come first.
Now I reside in the Caribbean during the winter and spring months (and who wouldn't want to get away during the Minnesota winters!) I share a cottage with my husband Pata, in the mountains of Jamaica, where I spend my time shooting destination weddings, and care-taking the hummingbirds and butterflies. In the summer and fall we return to the states and enjoy the gorgeous midwestern lakes and blue skies that only Minnesota can provide, another fabulous location for wedding photography. I know Jamaica very well having crisscrossed the island for years, but have also spent most of my lifetime in Minnesota, and am in touch with its own special charm. I have a dream job living and shooting in my two favorite places!
